Description / Background

The Honour Rolls are located in what was the main banking chamber of the former Commercial Bank of Sydney's head office. There are two Honour Rolls, the first to Bank staff who served in the First World War and the second to staff who lost their lives in the Second World War. Both plaques are made of bronze with the names embossed.

The Second World War Honour Roll states that of the 70 staff who died, 52 were Killed in Action (KIA) and 18 Died on Service (DOS). However, it does not indicate who the people were in those two different categories.
